Samantha Jones Garrison

Founder, Teacher

A dancer since she was 3, Sam's loved a disciplined physical practice and expressing herself through movement.  After boarding school in New England, ballet gave way to yoga.  Through the evolution from teenager to adult (college, a series of Hollywood assistant jobs, a marriage, a baby and many many homes), yoga kept her feet on the ground and mind full of freedom.  She's practiced Iyengar, Bikram, Sivananda, Anusara and now through the myriad of inspiring teachers at Yogala, incorporated many more styles into her evolving practice.  In 2008, she completed teacher training at YogaWorks in NYC.  Through her classes and the others at Yogala, Sam's dedicated to offering a variety of ways for our community to grow together with flexibility, strength and peace in our bodies, minds & souls.

Andrew MacFarlane

Devotional Warrior Yoga / Donation

Andrew began the practice of yoga a number of years ago. A certified instructor through the In Focus Wellness Institute, training under Master Z and Nisha Devi.

Like many of us, Andrew had a history of physical injuries and emotional trauma, some conscious and others unconscious. After being diagnosed with severe scoliosis, which lead to weekly visits to the chiropractor, something deep within told him he had the ability to heal myself. Trusting his intuition, he took first yoga class with Steve Ross of Maha Yoga. That was the moment it all clicked.

"Most of us are carrying around unconscious trauma from before we can remember, it has become a part of what being in a body is associated with. The truth that I have come to find out, is that this is not what life has intended for us. Discomfort in our physical being is a sign of many mental paradigms that do not correspond to our true nature. It is my overwhelming joy to share the healing power of this sacred practice with you."
